Auction Rules

The year shown on the auction sheet is the vehicle's Japan registration year, which can differ from its production year — check the actual production year with a VIN decoder before bidding.
Read our Auction Guide before you place your first bid so you understand grades and condition codes.
All auction vehicles are second-hand. If you need a guaranteed-perfect vehicle, a new car is a better fit than an auction purchase.
Auction inspection sheets are a short, good-faith report, not a warranty. Auction houses do not accept objections about what's on the sheet.
It's your responsibility to confirm the steering side (left/right hand drive) before bidding.

Account Deposit: To view vehicles and place bids in our system, an active deposit is required. Please transfer your deposit to the IBAN below, including your account username and email in the transfer reference.

At the €10,000 deposit tier, the auction's push-button system may push the final price up to ¥50,000,000.

Minimum Bid Increment

A bid must clear the starting price (or the current highest bid) by at least the step below for that price level:

Bidding must be completed before 10:00 PM Central European Time. Some auctions, especially Thursdays, start earlier, so check start times in advance.
You can change your bid up to 5 times, and cancel it any time before the auction end time.
Bid your realistic maximum. The auction's push-button system may push the final price up to 30,000 JPY above your bid, since many bidders press at the same time.
To buy only one vehicle from several bids, group them. Winning one automatically cancels the rest of the group. Grouping ends when bidding ends.

"BUY" on your results page means you won the vehicle. "CANCEL", "SOLD" or "NOT SOLD" mean you did not.
If you win a vehicle and decide not to complete the purchase, your deposit is forfeited. Bid only when you're certain.
An invoice covering all costs to your chosen port is generated within a few days and payable within 3 days.
You can request a deposit refund at any time, as long as you haven't purchased a vehicle awaiting payment.

RO-RO is the most economical shipping method, priced by vehicle volume (m³). Container shipping is used for non-running vehicles or ports without RO-RO access.
If a vehicle won't start when its RO-RO booking arrives, the shipment converts to container automatically.
While waiting at our yard, vehicles are unregistered and unplated. Japonic Trade is not responsible for damage from natural disasters during this period.
Japonic Trade facilitates your purchase from the auction houses. The vehicles themselves, and their condition as reported, belong to and are the responsibility of the auction houses, not Japonic Trade.
Your account is personal and non-transferable. All bids placed on your account are your responsibility.
